On April 28, 2026, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico welcomed approximately 50 tenth-grade students from Dorado Academy to the Clemente Ruiz Nazario U.S. Courthouse in Hato Rey.
During their visit, students had the opportunity to observe judicial proceedings before Chief Judge Raúl M. Arias-Marxuach and District Judge Camille L. Vélez-Rivé, providing them with a firsthand look at the federal judicial process in action. Following the proceedings, both judges addressed the students and engaged in a discussion on various topics, including the structure and role of the federal judiciary, their respective career paths, and professional guidance for students interested in pursuing careers in law and public service.
The visit reflects the Court’s ongoing commitment to educational outreach and fostering a greater understanding of the federal judicial system among students in the community.
