Federal Bench and Bar Scholarship Fund – Call for Applications
The United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, together with the Fundación Comunitaria de Puerto Rico (FCPR), announces the opening of the call for applications for the Federal Bench and Bar Scholarship Fund. This Fund was established through a collaborative agreement between the Court’s Bar Admission Fund and FCPR to support law students in Puerto Rico who demonstrate financial need and academic excellence.
The Federal Bench and Bar Scholarship Fund honors the life, leadership, and legacy of Judge Juan R. Torruella and Judge Consuelo C. Cerezo, whose contributions to the law and to the administration of justice have profoundly shaped the legal profession in Puerto Rico and beyond.
Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, February 27, 2026, through the online portal administered by the Fundación Comunitaria de Puerto Rico.
