NOTICE OF PROPOSED REAPPOINTMENT OF THE FEDERAL PUBLIC DEFENDER FOR THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF PUERTO RICO
 
The current term of office of Eric Vos, Federal Public Defender for the District of Puerto Rico, is due to expire on April 10, 2023. The United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit is considering the reappointment of Eric Vos to a new four-year term of office subject to public notice and opportunity for public comment. Upon reappointment, the incumbent would continue to perform the duties of his office as specified in The Criminal Justice Act of 1964, as amended, 18 U.S.C. § 3006A.
 
Members of the bar and the public are invited to submit comments for consideration by the Court of Appeals regarding the reappointment of Federal Public Defender Eric Vos to a new term of office. Please submit comments in the form of a PDF letter attached to an email to Susan J. Goldberg, Circuit Executive, at Susan_Goldberg@ca1.uscourts.gov. Comments must be received by Monday, August 22, 2022, and will be kept confidential if requested.
